Historical Typography

I've always enjoyed "Art Nouveau". In particular; architecture, and the paintings of Gustav Klimt. Recently (for obvious reasons) I've started paying attention to the typography.

The above image is from the back cover of an Art Nouveau typography book. As you can read from the outside of the image, words to describe this kind of type include: 'ornate', 'organic', 'hand-drawn', 'floral', 'free-flowing', 'movement', 'rhythm', 'nature' and 'swirling'. This can also be seen in the work of Alphonse Mucha;
